SEGA: MLB Plays Free Online Manager

SEGA America announced that it has entered into a partnership with Major League Baseball Advanced Media, a company that handles the media and the Internet for sports franchises. This cooperation is supported by Major League Baseball Players Association in order to create a sports simulation game called MLB Manager Online. The game is set to provide opportunities for prospective virtual baseball team manager to use more than 900 players from all the big teams in the United States.

Managers also get full stats, profiles the character and record of playing in the past. Managers can make the best virtual team and play against their friends to reach baseball World Champion Tournament. Players who are interested in MLB Online Manager can use a PC or Mac equipped with an Internet browser and run the Adobe Flash Player. The game is scheduled to be launched in March 2011, when the new baseball season begins. The game will be completely free to play and SEGA have not also provide publications about micro-transactions.

Vice president of digital business division SEGA America, Haruki Satomi stated that MLB Manager Online is an important step forward in expanding SEGA purpose digital gaming space. "We provide this game to fans with an exciting and new way to enjoy their favorite sport and we're excited to offer free access to the baseball experience with a full license online," he continued. Alex Pigeon, who is vice president of MLBAM also said that SEGA is a respected publisher in the gaming industry it is very delighted to be partnering with SEGA.
